The Bird app lets you get around your city conveniently. You can find a Bird on the app and rent a ride as a commuter. The Bird app has many payment methods, including PayPal and credit cards.
If you have previously linked your debit or credit card information in the app, this post will show you how to remove it.
To delete your credit/debit card from the Bird app, follow the simple procedure below;
- Log in to your Bird account. You should make use of your app for this purpose.

I Have Just One Payment Method; How Do I Remove It?
As I mentioned, you can only use the procedure above if you have more than one payment method and want to delete one. If you have just one payment method or card saved on your account that you want to remove, follow the procedure below;

- You will be taken to the page where you have to submit a request. Fill in the form and submit the request.
- In a while, a member of the Bird team will be in touch with you for verification via the email you provided.
- Ensure the email you are putting down is connected to your Bird account.
- When the Support reaches out to you, they might ask for personal details like your name and the last four digits of your card.
You should provide these details; they will remove your card if they can verify them. However, it would help if you were very cautious of scammers who may pose as Bird Support. No one will ask you for all the digits on the card you wish to delete.
Also, the Support will not ask for your account password. The only sensitive details they will ask for are your name and the last four digits on the card you wish to remove from your Bird account.
Why Am I Still Having Trouble With Deleting My Card?
You will face some difficulties deleting the app even after the guide I explained at the inception of this article. However, the problem is usually common due to a particular reason.
The Bird app is available on Android and iOS devices, and updates to these versions are released from time to time. If your app is not up to date, you might have some challenges using the card delete function. You should ensure it is always updated.
Also, if you do not find any card under “Payment default,” it means there is currently no card or payment method saved on your Bird account. You can add your preferred payment methods by selecting one from the options.
How Do I Change My Bird Payment Method On a Flyer Account?
As a Bird user, you can either be a Rider, Flyer, or Community member. The procedure is also different if you use a Flyer account and wish to change or update your payment method. Here, you can’t change your card from your end.
Instead, locate the Help section when you open the Bird account. Ensure you are logged into your account and reach out to Support via the Help section. The team in charge will help you reset or change your payment information.
Once they can reset your payment information, you will be prompted to enter new payment details in the app. If you already have a card you want to set as default, you can enter it into the app.
However, you should never disclose your payment details, like your banking or card information on your ticket. When filling out the request ticket, do NOT include your credit card details. They will change your request in the app for you when they receive it.
How Do I Get a Refund On My Bird Account?
If you have some funds left in your Bird account balance and don’t think you will need them anymore, you can request a refund. If the service or value has not been provided, you will surely get your refund after requesting it.

You must fill out the form accordingly and wait for a team member to email you. Once they verify your identity, they will issue a refund to the payment method initially charged.
